ICIAM PIONEER PRIZE Nomination Deadline Extended to Feb 15January 6, 2006
The Pioneer Prize Committee (Joyce R. McLaughlin, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Committee Chair) invites nominations for the Pioneer Prize to be given at ICIAM, 2007.
The prize, funded by SIAM but administered by ICIAM, honors pioneering work introducing applied mathematical methods and scientific computing techniques to an industrial problem area or a new scientific field of application. The prize commemorates the spirit and impact of the American pioneers.
Nominations should contain: the full name of the person nominated, name of the prize, a short and informed citation supporting the nomination, a short CV of the nominee containing vitae information relevant to the prize, and the name of the proposer or proposers.
Nominations, perferably as pdf attachments, should be submitted to Ian Sloan, the ICIAM prizes committee chair, using the prize nomination form at http://www.iciam.org/council/node7_ct.html by February 15, 2006. (Note the extension in this deadline).
