Books Shipped by the Customer's Shipping Company

When a customer requests that a book shipment be charged to the customer’s shipping account, (the customer is paying for the shipping costs), the customer takes full responsibility for the books when they leave SIAM’s premises (FOB shipping point).  The customer takes possession of the package(s) once it is picked up by the carrier.  Any books damaged or lost in transit are the customer’s responsibility; the customer will need to place a claim with the shipper for reimbursement of loss. SIAM will provide a copy of the book invoice for claim purposes. The invoice for the damaged or lost books will remain due and payable to SIAM (since the payment of the claim by the shipper will be retained by the customer).  While SIAM cannot replace the books free of charge, we will provide upon request, a replacement order of the books along with the invoice for shipment.
