*PRE-REGISTERED STUDENTS AND THOSE REGISTERING ON SITE MUST SHOW A CURRENT STUDENT ID UPON CHECKING IN AT THE SIAM REGISTRATION DESK.

Student registration is available for undergraduate and graduate students ONLY.  The student rate is not available to post-doctorates.

Minisymposia Non-member Organizer or Speaker Conference Registration Fee Changes
Since their inception, minisymposia have been an important part of SIAM conferences.  To encourage the best people to participate, SIAM offers a discounted registration rate to minisymposia speakers and organizers who are not members of SIAM.  In the past this rate has been the same as the SIAM member registration fee.  However, in an effort to encourage membership in SIAM, the SIAM Membership Committee recommended to the Board and Council a change in this fee structure.  The recommendation to decrease the discount was accepted and has been implemented.  The discount approved is half the amount of the discount a SIAM Member receives.  In 2012 a non-member minisymposia speaker or organizer fee is $65 less than the non-member rate. 

If you do not join SIAM before you register, SIAM allows attendees who pay the non-member rate to apply the difference between it and the member rate toward buying an individual membership.  We will continue to offer this option and expand the offer to those who pay the non-member minisymposia organizer or speaker rate.

Please Note: 
It is SIAM policy that all speakers must pre-register. Speakers who do not pre-register will be required to register on site at the higher rate.

 

Conference Speakers

The Conference Organizing Committee expects every speaker in a scheduled presentation to register and attend the conference.

If it becomes necessary for a speaker to cancel a presentation, he or she must try to find an alternate presenter immediately, preferably a co-author. Contact SIAM Conference Director Connie Young, cyoung@siam.org for Annual Meeting changes, or Meeting Manager Nicole Erle, erle@siam.org for the SIAM Conference on Financial Mathematics and Engineering program changes, immediately with any change to a scheduled presentation.

A “no-show” or cancelled presentation can cause serious inconvenience to the attendees and conference organizers. The committee thanks all speakers in advance for their compliance with this request.

SIAM is not responsible for the safety and security of attendees’ computers. Do not leave laptop computers unattended.

Please remember to turn off cell phones, pagers, etc., during sessions.

Cancellation Policy

All refund requests must be received in writing by email, fax or regular mail.

Cancellation on or before May 10, 2012
Full Refund

May 11, 2012 – June 8, 2012

$75.00 Cancellation Fee

After June 8, 2012

No Refund

A fee of $75.00 will be charged for changes from full registration to one-day registration between May 10, 2012 and June 8, 2012, after which no registration changes will be accepted.

Pre-register and Save!

We urge attendees to pre-register and save!

To qualify for the pre-registration rate, return the Registration Form with payment to reach the SIAM office or register online by June 8, 2012, before 4:00 EDT.  Registrations received without payment will not be processed.

Any registration received at the SIAM office after June 8, 2012, will be subject to the full registration fee. We urge you to pre-register and save up to $85.00.

There will be no pro-rated fees. Refunds will not be issued after June 8, 2012.

 

SIAM Corporate Members and Sponsors

SIAM is pleased to acknowledge its corporate members and sponsors. In recognition of this support, non-member attendees who are employed by a Corporate Member or Sponsor organization are entitled to the SIAM member registration rate.

Professional development workshops for women at AN12

COAChing Women in the Art of Strategic Persuasion, a professional development workshop for women, will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012, in Minneapolis, MN, a day prior to the SIAM Annual Meeting. The morning session will be targeted to senior faculty and the afternoon session to junior faculty in their early years of academia.  It is free, but a separate registration is required.  Registration for the Annual Meeting is not required to attend the workshop.
