Methods of Verification and Validation in Numerical Simulations

10:30 AM-12:30 PM
Potomac

As numerical simulations get more complex, it becomes more difficult to ascertain the fidelity of these simulations. Traditional numerical analysis techniques become inadequate to quantify the quality and uncertainties of these simulations. In this minisymposium, the speakers will address the issues involved in verifying and validating simulations of complex systems, and share their practical experiences in understanding the results of large simulations.
