Computational Electromagnetics and Applications

10:30 AM-12:30 PM
New Hampshire 2

The main objective of this minisymposium is to highlight the increasing role of computational electromagnetics in various areas of sciences and engineering applications. The rapid advances in wireless communications and computer technology have highlighted the important role of studying electromagnetic fields in areas such as VLSI microchip design and microwave device performance evaluations, radar technology, and lithography processes, and magnetic materials. Computational electromagnetics has demonstrated its power together with the increasing speed of modern computers.

However, many issues remain to be resolved in the mathematical modeling and fast and efficient numerical algorithms before we can realize the full potential of computational electromagnetics. The speakers in this minisymposium will discuss some of those issues.
