Reservations

SIAM is holding a block of rooms at The Wyndham City Center Hotel, Washington, DC. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at a rate of $109 per night single/double. Rates are subject to 14.5% room tax and $1.50 occupancy tax. The total cost of a room per night is $126.31. These rooms will be held for our exclusive use until Wednesday, December 20, 2000. Reservations made after December 20, will depend on availability and prevailing rates may apply.

We urge you to make your hotel reservations immediately. Please fax or mail the hotel reservation form directly to the hotel. Reservations may also be made by telephone by calling 202-775-0800 . When making reservations by phone, be certain to identify yourself as an attendee of the Twelfth ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms, scheduled January 7-9, 2001, to receive the discounted rate. When making hotel reservations be sure to request a confirmation number. A confirmation number is proof of a reservation. Remember, the hotel will not actually charge your credit card until you check into the hotel, or on the scheduled date of your arrival.

Directions

From Reagan National Airport (DCA)
Exit Airport following signs to Washington, DC onto George Washington Memorial Parkway. Stay to left, avoiding all right hand exits until the Arlington Memorial Bridge. Enter the city while crossing the bridge, stay in the left lane. Make first left turn onto 23rd Street. Take 23rd Street to Washington Circle. Follow 23rd to the Washington Circle, enter and continue half way around circle making a right on New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel is 2 blocks on your right.

From Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Exit Airport following signs to Washington, DC. The access road will take you directly to 66 East. Follow 66 East to the exit, which is Constitution Avenue. At the 2nd traffic light, which is 22nd Street, turn left, and then left again at "C" Street and right onto 23rd Street. Follow 23rd to Washington Circle, enter and continue half way around circle making a right on New Hampshire Avenue.

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport
Exit airport onto 95 south. Follow signs for 495 to Silver Sprint (do NOT take 95 south to Richmond). Take 495 to Connecticut Avenue (exit #33) to Washington. Approximately 7 miles south, you will approach Dupont Circle. Stay on Connecticut and go under circle. At third light, turn right onto "M" street. Continue on "M" street to 23rd where you will turn left. At next light, turn left on "L" street and then left onto New Hampshire. The hotel will be on your right.

Metro from Union Station
Take Red line at Union Station toward Rockville exit at Metro Center. Take Blue Line (toward Airport) or Orange Line (toward Vienna), exit at Foggy Bottom (GWU) which is one block from Washington Circle. Take New Hamphsire Ave from Washington Circle and go two blocks Northest to the hotel.

By Car

From I-95 going North - connect to 395 North to Arlington Memorial Bridge. Exit across bridge in far-left lane bearing left around the Lincoln Memorial and take the first left onto 23rd Street. Continue about 8 blocks to Washington Circle. Follow traffic halfway around the Circle to right, turning right onto New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel is on the right.

From I-95 going South - approximately 30 minutes beyond Baltimore - exit at 495 West which is the Beltway (do not take 95 South Richmond). Continue to the Connecticut Avenue exit. Go towards Washington approximately 7 miles, bypassing Dupont Circle by taking the underpass under its center. Continue three blocks and turn right at "M" Street. Go 7 blocks and turn left at 23rd Street. Go one block, turning left at L Street. Go one more block taking a wide left onto New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel will is on the right.

From 66 coming East - take the final exit marked Constitution Avenue, which brings you to a traffic light at the corner of 23rd Street, and Constitution Avenue. As you cannot turn left onto 23rd Street, go to the 2nd light turning left at 22nd Street, then left at the next corner which is "C" Street and finally right onto 23rd Street. Continue northbound on 23rd Street about 6 blocks to the Washington Circle and merge into Circle traffic. Continue half way around exiting at New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel is located 2 blocks up on the right side.

From Western Pennsylvania - exit turnpike at Breezewood. Follow signs to Washington, DC onto Route 70 East and then 270 South. Take right fork marked 495 South Northern Virginia. Exit right onto George Washington Memorial Parkway. Take Rosslyn/Key Bridge exit turning right to cross the bridge. Turn right onto "M" Street and proceed through Georgetown. Stay to the right, as "M" Street becomes Pennsylvania Avenue at 25th Street. Continue to George Washington Circle. Go � around the Circle exiting at New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel is located 2 blocks up on the right.

Deposit

The hotel requires a deposit equivalent to one night's room rate, approximately $126.31 per night, to guarantee your reservation. The hotel accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, or check as a form of payment. When making your reservation, request a confirmation number. The hotel will send out written confirmation upon request.

Arrivals and Departures

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund of your one night's deposit. Make sure you get a cancellation number from the reservation department.

Washington DC has a wealth of restaurants. As the nation's capital, Washington offers visitors seemingly endless choices of cuisine. The Concierge at your hotel will be glad to direct you to a restaurant.

During the conference, SIAM cannot offer e-mail or Internet access capabilities for individual attendees. Nearby is Kinkos, for easy access to copying, faxing, printing services, and computers with Windows and Macintosh software.
