Audio/Visual Policy

Standard A/V Set-up in Meeting Rooms
Every plenary session room will have two overhead projectors, two screens, and a data projector. All other breakout rooms will have one overhead projector, one screen, and a data projector. Speakers may order additional audio/visual equipment, other than the standard A/V set-up listed above, by contacting lyons@siam.org.

All speakers should visit http://www.siam.org/meetings/guidelines/av.php prior to December 19, 2005.

Visa Information
International attendees at conferences in the US may already be aware that there have been recent changes to the visa program for scientific visitors, which affect even people from visa waiver countries. The site http://www7.nationalacademies.org/visas/, maintained by the National Academies, provides guidance on obtaining the necessary documents.

Climate

The average temperature in Miami during January varies between 63° F (17°C) and 73° F (23°C). Please remember meeting room temperatures and personal comfort zones vary widely. It is recommended that you bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions.

SIAM is unable to offer e-mail access for individual attendees. The Radisson Hotel Miami Downtown has Internet kiosks available in the hotel lobby and mezzanine level foyer for a fee.
