The geophysical flows in the oceans and the atmosphere affect our environment and our society in profound ways. The models for geophysical flows may be finite or infinite dimensional, and deterministic or stochastic. Scientific computation is an indispensable part in the study of geophysical flows. Thus modeling geophysical flows involves both computational and analytical approaches, and deterministic and stochastic dynamics.
In this minisymposium, the speakers will discuss recent progress in dynamical systems methods and new results in the understanding of geophysical flows.Organizer: Jinqiao Duan
