Patterns, Waves and Synchronization in Lattice Dynamical Systems

1:30 PM-3:30 PM
Orchard & Pikake (Salon 7 & 8)

Lattice dynamical systems have prevailed in the investigation of spatial and temporal structures of the dynamical systems with emphasis on the coupling effect among the equations at the sites of the lattice. In the studies, the notions of topological entropy and spatial entropy and their computations are the main concerns. Global pattern formation and wave solutions are of primary interest. The theory of synchronization of chaos has been further developed and applied in various areas. The speakers in this minisymposium will address patterns and traveling waves, entropy, influence of boundary conditions, and synchronization of chaotic dynamical systems.
