Computational Issues in Numerical Simulation of Multiphase Flow in
Porous Media
10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Room: Executive Salon 4
This minisymposium is devoted to numerical simulation of multiphase
fluid flow in heterogeneous anisotropic porous media. Special
attention is paid to numerical algorithms for solving the systems
arising from discretizations of partial differential equations
describing the multiphase flow in such porous media. The speakers
will discuss preconditioned mixed finite element methods, domain
decomposition algorithms, and subgrid upscaling techniques.
