Did you know?

Your support in staying at the Radisson University Hotel-MPLS helps keep the conference costs down, which directly affects your registration fees. SIAM guarantees the hotel that we will fill a certain number of “room nights” (rooms per night) during the conference. SIAM incurs penalties if too many attendees opt to stay in other hotels in the area or neglect to indicate to the hotel that they are with the SIAM conference. At this time, conference costs do not include meeting room rental. If SIAM fails to fill the contracted room block, SIAM is then charged the cost for the meeting rooms on a daily basis, along with a hefty penalty. Future registration fees could increase to cover these additional risks.

Reservations

SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Radisson University Hotel-MPLS. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. The group rate is guaranteed until the cutoff date unless the block fills prior to that. If there are rooms available after the cutoff date, they will be available at the best rate offered at that time.

Reservation Deadline – April 17, 2006 (or until the room block is filled)

Single/Double $115 per night plus 13% tax

Student rate $85 per night plus 13% tax

(Student ID must be presented upon check-in. SIAM is able to negotiate a limited number of special student rate rooms. Please book early as these rooms sell out quickly!)

All rooms based on availability.
All rates are subject to state and local occupancy taxes.

All rooms will be held for meeting attendee use through Monday, April 17, or until room block is full. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early. Reservations will then depend upon availability. Your reservation is not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone.

When making reservations, be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the SIAM Conference on Imaging Science. In order to get the SIAM group rate, please make your reservations via fax at +1-612-379-8682 or mail the Hotel Reservation Form directly to the Radisson University Hotel-MPLS. You may also make your reservation by phone by calling (800) 333-3333 ( USA and Canada) or +1-612-379-8888. Do not make your reservation on-line through the hotel web site, as this will not allow you to retain the SIAM group rate. Remember to get your confirmation number!

Welcome Reception

When making your reservation, remember that the Welcome Reception is scheduled for Sunday, May 14. This is an excellent networking opportunity!

Deposit

The Radisson University Hotel-MPLS requires a credit card to confirm and guarantee your reservation. The hotel will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.

Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel 24 hours prior to your arrival date in order to avoid a cancellation fee. You can contact the hotel at (800) 333-3333 ( USA and Canada) or +1-612-379-8888. Remember to get a cancellation number!

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM.

Health Facilities

The Radisson University Hotel-MPLS offers an exercise room. Guests have complimentary use of the $30 million Sports and Recreational Facilities of the University of Minnesota right next door, which includes a towel and locker.
