Your support in staying at the Rosen Plaza Hotel helps keep the conference costs down, which directly affects your registration fees. SIAM guarantees the hotel that we will fill a certain number of “room nights” (rooms per night) during the conference. SIAM incurs penalties if too many attendees opt to stay in other hotels in the area or neglect to indicate to the hotel that they are with the SIAM conference. At this time, conference costs do not include meeting room rental. If SIAM fails to fill the contracted room block, SIAM is then charged the cost for the meeting rooms on a daily basis, along with a hefty penalty. Future registration fees could increase to cover these additional riskss.
Reservations
SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Rosen Plaza Hotel. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early.
The group rate is guaranteed until the cutoff date or until the room block is full. If rooms are available after the cutoff date, they will be offered at the group rate. When making reservations, be sure to mention SIAM or the Sixteenth International Conference on Numerical Combustion (NC17).

In the event that you find a lower room rate, please make the reservation at the lower rate and notify SIAM immediately ([email protected]). By doing this you will receive the lower rate and be counted towards the SIAM room block. However, please be aware by booking outside the SIAM room block at a lower rate, you may not receive the same benefits as rooms reserved in the SIAM room block (i.e complimentary Internet access).
Reservations are not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone. Be sure to get a confirmation number from the hotel and be prepared to provide that number to the front desk clerk upon check-in at the hotel. If hotel reservations are requested by facsimile and written confirmation is not received within two weeks of sending the facsimile, please contact the hotel immediately to verify that the reservation request was received and processed. Be sure to get a confirmation number.
When making reservations, be sure to identify yourself as a SIAM attendee, or mention the Sixteenth International Conference on Numerical Combustion (NC17). In order to receive the SIAM group rate, please make your reservations using the above group reservation link or by calling (800) 627-8258 (USA and Canada) or +1 (407) 996-9700.Do not make your reservation online using the hotel’s general web site, as this will not allow you to obtain the SIAM group rate. Be sure to use the group link if making reservations online.

Cancellations

Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Deposit
The Rosen Plaza Hotel requires a credit card to confirm and guarantee your reservation. The hotel will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.
Welcome Reception
When making your reservation, remember that the Welcome Reception is scheduled for Sunday, April 2, 2017. This is an excellent networking opportunity!

Hotel guests will have complimentary use of the fitness center, swimming pool, and whirlpool spa in the Rosen Plaza Hotel.
