The Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel is 30 minutes from the Norfolk International Airport. Shuttle service is available through Groome Transportation 757-857-1231. Reservations are not necessary- when you pick up your luggage go through the double doors and find the vans waiting. One way cost to the hotel is $15.00.
Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport or Uniglobe Wings Travel can assist you in making car rental reservations at the time you make your flight reservations.
Take 1-64 East to I-264 West to Downtown Norfolk/Portsmouth. Continue on I-264 West through the Downtown Tunnel to Portsmouth. Take the first exit after the tunnel (Exit 7). Stay right to Downtown. Follow Crawford Street to Water Street. Turn right onto Water Street. The hotel is on the left.
Take the passenger ferry or the water taxi to North Harbor Ferry landing. SIAM has arranged for all registered attendees to receive two complimentary ferry tokens daily. Attendees need a token to take the ferry to Norfolk and return to Portsmouth.
