SIAM Registration Desk

The SIAM registration desk is located on Level Five of the Marriott Hotel. It is open during the following times:

All advance payments are to be made by credit card, check or money order. All fees quoted are in U.S. dollars.

After paying by wire transfer, please fill out the Wire Transfer Form. Filling out this form will enable SIAM to recognize your particular wire transfer when it arrives at SIAM and process your order much more promptly.

Meeting Speakers

The Annual Meeting Organizing Committee expects every speaker of a scheduled presentation to register and attend the meeting.

Please Note: SIAM requests that the speakers preregister so all program materials are ready for them when they arrive and check in at the registration desk.

If it becomes necessary for a speaker to cancel a presentation, he or she must try to find an alternate presenter immediately, preferably a co-author. The SIAM Conference Department must be informed immediately of any change to a scheduled presentation. A "no-show" or cancelled presentation can cause serious inconvenience to the attendees and conference organizers. The committee thanks all speakers in advance for their compliance with this request.

SIAM accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. Please indicate credit card type, account number, and the expiration date on the Registration Form.

Preregister and Save

We urge attendees to preregister and save! To qualify for the preregistration rate, return the Registration Form with payment to reach the SIAM office by Thursday, June 6, 2002.

Any registration received at the SIAM office after Thursday, June 6, 2002 will be subject to the full registration fee. We urge you to preregister and save $60.

There will be no prorated fees. Refunds will not be issued after Thursday, June 6, 2002.

Other General Information

Information Booth

There will be an information booth in the SIAM registration area where staff will be on hand to answer any and all member questions. It’s a great place to renew your membership or to join SIAM! There will also be a sign-up sheet for those interested in finding dinner companions. Personnel at the booth will also be glad to offer suggestions and directions to local restaurants.

No-Smoking Policy

For the comfort and health of all attendees, smoking is not permitted at any SIAM function. This includes plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, workshops, luncheons, and receptions (unless the event is outside).

Placement Opportunities

SIAM will have a dedicated bulletin board located in the registration area for posting job opportunities. This board is available for the convenience of those who wish to post and respond to job openings.

Electronic Devices

Please turn off all cellular phones, beepers, and electronic devices before going into any SIAM sessions. These devices can disrupt the audio-visual equipment and are distracting to the speaker and/or attendees during the session.
