Ground Transportation

Transportation from Philadelphia International Airport

After you pick up your luggage, go to the Ground Transportation Desk by the escalators. Tell the attendant you are going to the Philadelphia Marriott Hotel. If the desk is not manned, use the phone at the desk and call for pick up. The cost one way from the airport to the Philadelphia Marriott Hotel is $8, and reservations are not necessary.

Trains

To make train reservations through Amtrak, call 1-800-USA-RAIL or go to www.amtrak.com.

You can also contact Travel Leaders for train tickets. Taxis are available at the train station for transportation to the hotel.

Philadelphia has an excellent transit system. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) offers commuter rail service between the city and the suburbs. Suburban Station and Market East Station are in the heart of the business, shopping and hotel districts. Also, 30th Street Station provides quick connections with Amtrak. Each of these stations connects the entire rail system with the city’s Airport Rail Line. The airport Rail Line (R1) operates daily every half hour.

Cars

Many major car rental companies have counters inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport or you can make them through Travel Leaders or your own travel agent. Travel Leaders can make your car rental reservations at the same time you make your flight reservations. See information above regarding how to reach Travel Leaders.
