Computers will not be provided for any speakers. Local organization is not responsible for the safety and security of speakers’ computers.
The Plenary Session Room is fully equipped with screen and projectors. Presenters requiring special adaptors (other than VGA connection) must provide their own.
All other breakout rooms are equipped with a screen and a data projector. Presenters requiring special adaptors (other than VGA connection) must provide their own.

The average April temperature in Lausanne varies between 41° F (5°C) and 61° F (16°C). Remember meeting room temperatures and personal comfort zones vary widely. It is recommended that you bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions

Poster Session

At UQ16, poster boards will be 95cm wide by 180cm high. Push pins will be provided on site.
The poster session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 from 6:40 PM – 8:00 PM. Poster presenters are requested to set up their poster material on the provided 95cm wide by 180cm high poster boards in the "Campus" Area, 1st Floor, on Monday, April 4 between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, or on Tuesday, April 5 between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Push pins will be provided on site.
All materials must be posted by Tuesday, April 5 at 6:40 PM, the official start time of the session. Posters will remain on display through Friday, April 8. Poster displays must be removed by 6:40 PM. Posters remaining after this time will be discarded
There will be a Poster Blitz on Tuesday afternoon at 5:55 PM – 6:40 PM in Auditorium A.
SIAM Books and Journals
SIAM books are available at a discounted price during the conference. Complimentary copies of journals are also available on site. If a SIAM books representative is not available, orders may be placed according to the instructions on the Titles on Display form.

Letter of Invitation
Confirmed authors in need of a Letter of Invitation to assist in the visa application process, please fill out the Letter of Invitation Request Form. Please allow three to four weeks for processing and delivery.
If you are not planning to present at the conference or are not yet an accepted author and need a letter of invitation before acceptance notifications are sent, please fill out the form AND provide the following information to [email protected]:- Brief curriculum vita (including your date of birth and a list of publications over the past 3 years.)
- Brief statement why attending this conference would help your research and career.
- Letter of recommendation. Have a senior person (e.g. Ph.D. advisor, head of department, president of a mathematical society) write a brief letter of recommendation on appropriate letterhead. This letter is not needed if you have a minimum of twelve entries in MathSciNet. If this is the case please state so in your message to [email protected].
