Location

Colorado School of Mines has five residence halls. All residence hall rooms are equipped with a telephone, basic cable television connections, and CSM computer network and Internet connections. The library, fieldhouse, classrooms, and Student Center are within easy walking distance. Campus maps, directions, and parking can be found at www.mines.edu/csm_maps/.

Reservations

SIAM is holding a block of dormitory rooms at the Weaver Towers, 18th & Elm Streets at Colorado School of Mines. Rooms are available from noon on Saturday, May 30 through noon on Sunday, June 7. These air-conditioned rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at $22.00 per night, per person single or $19.00 per night, per person double occupancy. Rates are subject to 7.3% room tax. The deadline for making dormitory room reservations is Friday, May 1.

The Weaver Towers has living room suites with two semi-private bathrooms for every 7 to 9 people. Each sleeping room is equipped with bed linens, pillow, blanket, bath towel, hand towel, washcloth; linens can be exchanged once during your stay. You are responsible for your own toiletries including bath soap. If you choose Weaver Towers as your conference residence, you can give your family/office/colleagues/friends, the following phone number for messages: 303-273-3926. Upon arrival, individuals will be able to pass along the private phone number for their assigned room.

Deposit

The Colorado School of Mines requires payment in full and in advance. CSM accepts AMEX, MC, Visa, money orders, or personal check as a form of payment.The deadline for making dormitory room reservations is Friday, May 1.

Arrivals and Departures

Weaver Towers reception/check-in desk is open 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM only on a daily basis. Check-in time is after 12:00 PM (noon) on Saturday, May 30. Check-out must be complete by 12:00 PM (noon) on Sunday, June 7.

Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact CSM in writing 21 days prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund of your deposit minus a $25 handling fee. Cancellation after that time will result in a $50 penalty. Refunds will be mailed in the form of a check within four weeks of cancellation.

Parking

Parking is available at CSM in non-reserved or open lots. Visitor parking permits will be supplied upon conference check-in to those who require them.
