Twenty rooms have been put aside in this first-class, modern, adobe-style hotel. Rates range from $78.00 per night for a King Single to $93.00 per night for an Executive King single. Rooms that have been confirmed with a credit card must be canceled 24 hours prior to arrival date or you will be charged for one night's stay. These rooms will be held for SIAM's use until Tuesday, May 12, 1998 only. Reservations made after May 12 will depend on availability. The Antique Rose Bed & Breakfast Inn

This historic Inn has four guest rooms; each room has been named for an "Old Garden" rose introduced in the 1800s to early 1900's. Two of the rooms have whirlpool tubs; rates range from $75 to $115 per night. A full breakfast and complimentary beverages are included. Reservations will depend on availability.     Attendees will receive breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon coffee breaks and a Monday night barbecue dinner as part of their registration fee. However, all other dinners will be on your own. There are several restaurants in Golden within walking distance of the campus. The conference will have one buffet dinner for $38.50 per person at The Table Mountain Inn on Wednesday, June 3. The buffet menu will feature Fresh Fruit Salad, Tossed Salad, Top Sirloin with Silverdollar Rolls, Mesquite Grilled Pork, Turkey, Sauteed Vegetables, Texmati Pilaf, and Apple Berry Crisps.

    Tourist Information

    Golden, a city of 15,000, lies in a valley of the Eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains, 15 miles west of Denver, 35 miles east of the Continental Divide, and 20 miles south of Boulder. It may take you a day or two to become acclimated to the altitude of 5,700 feet (1737 meters) above sea level. Golden combines a warm Western small town atmosphere with establishments such as the National Earthquake Center, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Coors Porcelain, Adolph Coors Company (the world's largest single brewery), Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum, the Colorado Railroad Museum, and the Colorado School of Mines, the host for this 1998 conference.
