Dear Colleagues:
Welcome to Golden and the Fourth International Conference on Mathematical and Numerical Aspects of Wave Propagation, conducted by SIAM with the cooperation of INRIA.
The program includes 10 invited presentations, 22 minisymposia, and 46 contributed sessions. For the combined minisymposia and contributed paper sessions, there are 13 propagation sessions (for acoustic, electromagnetic, and elastic media), 11 sessions on electromagnetic methods and electromagnetic/acoustic scattering, 8 sessions on nonlinear waves, 6 sessions on inverse methods, 9 sessions on elasticity, 5 sessions on Helmholtz and wave equations, and multiple sessions on theoretical and numerical wave methods, scattering theory and diffraction, surface scattering, integral equations, water waves, and random media.
Even with all these presentations, there are never more than three simultaneous sessions.
The success of the meeting depends on you and your participating in the formal session discussions as well as in the informal social sessions of the conference. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments are included in the registration fee, as are a Sunday evening welcoming reception and a Monday evening outdoor barbecue.
