Call for Nominations
2013 W. T. and Idalia Reid Prize
The W. T. and Idalia Reid Prize is awarded for research in, or other contributions to, the broadly defined areas of differential equations and control theory. The prize may be given either for a single notable achievement or for a collection of such achievements.
SIAM will award the W. T. and Idalia Reid Prize at the 2013 SIAM Annual Meeting (AN13), to be held jointly with the SIAM Conference on Control and Its Applications (CT13), July 8-12, 2013, in San Diego, California.
Description of the Award
The award consists of an engraved medal and a $10,000 cash prize. The prize recipient will be requested to present a lecture at the meeting and will be reimbursed for travel expenses to attend the meeting to accept the award and deliver the lecture.
Nominations
Nominations should be sent to reid_prize@siam.org by October 15, 2012. Attach your letter of nomination, including a description of achievement(s), a CV of the candidate, and letters of support from two or three experts. The letter(s) should be addressed to.
