Imaging is broadly interpreted to include: image formation, inverse problems in imaging, image processing, image analysis, image interpretation and understanding, computer graphics, and visualization.
Candidate papers must be published in English, in a peer-reviewed journal, with a publication date in the four (4) calendar years preceding the year prior to the year of the award. For the 2014 award, the paper must bear a publication date in the period from January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2012.
Description of the Award
The award will consist of a plaque and a certificate containing the award citation. If the paper has multiple authors, each will receive a certificate and a plaque. At least one of the awardees is expected to attend the award ceremony and to present the paper as a plenary lecture at the meeting. One of the plenary lectures will be reserved for this purpose. Travel expenses will be available to reimburse the speaker. Should more than one author be involved in presenting the plenary lecture, reimbursement will be made only to one of the authors.
Nominations should be sent to IS_siag_prize@siam.org by September 15, 2013. Attach a letter of nomination, including a full bibliographic citation for the paper and a statement outlining the justification for the nomination. The letter should be addressed to:
