Call for Nominations


SIAG/IS Prize

The SIAG on Imaging Science Prize (SIAG/IS Prize), established in 2010, will be awarded to the authors of the best paper, as determined by the prize committee, on mathematical and computational aspects of imaging.  Imaging is broadly interpreted to include: image formation, inverse problems in imaging, image processing, image analysis, image interpretation and understanding, computer graphics, and visualization.

The first award will be made by the SIAG on Imaging Science (SIAG/IS) at the SIAM Conference on Imaging Science (IS12), to be held May 20-22, 2012, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Eligibility

Candidate papers must be published in English, in a peer-reviewed journal, with a publication date in the four (4) calendar years preceding the year prior to the year of the award.  For the 2012 award, the paper must bear a publication date in the period from January 1, 2007, through December 31, 2010.

Nominations

A nomination consists of a letter stating the paper being nominated and explaining the significance of the work.  Nominations should be sent, preferably via e-mail, to the address below so as to arrive at the SIAM office by September 15, 2011.
