To All Those Affected by KatrinaSeptember 9, 2005
SIAM (the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) offers our support to all those whose lives have been impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. To help those affected, SIAM will provide username/password access to every SIAM electronic journal to any faculty member, staff member, or student at any institution that has suffered damage. This username and password will be effective until December 31, 2006. It is our hope that this will allow those who are displaced to continue to access SIAM content whenever they may need it from wherever they are.
Please contact SIAM at 800-447-SIAM or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide you with the information you need.
Any SIAM member who has been forced to relocate should contact SIAM with new email and mailing information, even if it is only temporary. You can also update your address online at my.siam.org/cust_serv. We will do all we can to ensure that your print journals, SIAM News, and ballot information for the upcoming elections reach you.
SIAM can also provide SIAM-aliased email addresses to any members who need this service. If a member believes he or she may relocate several times, SIAM will set up an alias address that will follow you.
To our library subscribers, SIAM is prepared to help you rebuild your collections and restore e-journal access whenever you are ready.
Again, please contact us at 800-447-SIAM or email@example.com if you have any questions or if you have any other needs not covered by this message.
