Bulgaria Section of SIAM

BGSIAM was founded in 2007 to promote the application of mathematics to science, engineering, and technology in the Republic of Bulgaria.  The Section hosts an annual meeting.

News

The 7th Annual Meeting of BGSIAM was hosted by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Science, Sofia on December 19 and 20, 2012. The meeting featured four plenary lectures, given by the following distinguished mathematicians and scientists:

• Raytcho Lazarov, Texas A&M University
• Todor Gramchev, University of Cagliari
• Vladimir Veliov, Vienna University of Technology, and
• Nikolaj Kutev, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
