The first Gene Golub SIAM Summer School will take place at the Hotel Sierra Silvana, Selva di Fasano, Brindisi, Italy. Four courses will be given during the two weeks from the 7th to the 18th in June, 2010. The summer school is geared towards doctoral students and there is a limit of 50 students. There will be no registration fee and funding for local accommodations and/or local expenses will be available for some of the participants. Limited travel funds may also be available.

Call for Proposals: Gene Golub SIAM Summer School 2011
SIAM is calling for letters of intent for proposals of topics and organizers for the Gene Golub SIAM Summer School (G2S3) for approximately 50 graduate students to be held at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, during the two weeks prior to ICIAM, i.e., July 3-15, 2011.
