Andrea Bertozzi is Professor of Mathematics and Director of Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles.  She received her PhD, MA, and AB, all in Mathematics from Princeton University.  Before joining the faculty at UCLA in 2003, she taught in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Chicago and then served as Professor of Mathematics and Physics on the faculty at Duke University.  Her industry consulting has included Passport Systems, Inc. and Alliant Techsystems, Inc. (ATK).  Professor Bertozzi serves on the Board of Trustees of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) and on the editorial boards of several journals.  She was awarded the 2009 AWM-SIAM Sonia Kovalevsky Lecture and was elected a SIAM Fellow in 2010.  She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
