The hotel is in Portland's Lloyd District, within a half-mile of the Oregon Convention Center and the Moda Center. Located one block from Lloyd Center shopping, and the local MAX Light Rail station is next door, linking to downtown Portland and the airport. Your support in staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland helps keep the conference costs down, which directly affects your registration fees. SIAM guarantees the hotel that we will fill a certain number of “room nights” (rooms per night) during the conference. SIAM incurs penalties if too many attendees opt to stay in other hotels in the area or neglect to indicate to the hotel that they are with the SIAM conference. At this time, conference costs do not include meeting room rental. If SIAM fails to fill the contracted room block, SIAM is charged the cost for the meeting rooms on a daily basis, along with a hefty penalty. Future registration fees could increase to cover these additional risks.
Reservations
SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early.
The group rate is guaranteed until 11:59 p.m. local time on the cutoff date or until the room block is full. If rooms are available after the cutoff date, they will be offered at the best available rate.

Single/Double Room Rate* $192 per night plus 16.57% tax
Government Rate $152 per night plus 16.57% tax
Student Rate $144 per night plus 16.57% tax Student rate rooms are SOLD OUT.
Student ID must be presented upon check-in. SIAM is able to negotiate a limited number of special student rate rooms. Please book early as these rooms sell out quickly!
Room rates include complimentary internet access.

All rates are subject to state and local occupancy taxes.
*Additional fees of $15 per person apply to triple and quad occupancy.
In the event that you find a lower room rate, please make the reservation at the lower rate and notify SIAM immediately ([email protected]). By doing this you will receive the lower rate and be counted towards the SIAM room block. However, please be aware by booking outside the SIAM room block at a lower rate, you may not receive the same benefits as rooms reserved in the SIAM room block (i.e. complimentary internet access).

Do not make your reservation online using the hotel’s general website, as this will not allow you to obtain the SIAM group rate. Be sure to use the online reservation link above if making reservations online. Remember to get your confirmation number!
Reservations are not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone. Be sure to get a confirmation number from the hotel and be prepared to provide that number to the front desk clerk upon check-in at the hotel.
Cancellations

Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.
Early Departure
The hotel may charge an early departure fee if an attendee checks out prior to the original checkout date. Attendees are responsible for informing the hotel of reservation changes as soon as possible, and should confirm their scheduled departure date when checking into the hotel.
Deposit
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland requires a credit card and deposit equal to one night’s stay to confirm and guarantee your reservation. The hotel will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.

Hotel guests will have complimentary use of the fitness center.

Ground Transportation
Public Transportation from Airport
Taxis are available at the airport for transportation to the hotel. Please visit the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland website and click on “Location” to find local directions. SIAM also suggests you contact the hotel directly for any information about sharing transportation. By Train
Amtrak has a rail station in Portland. To make train reservations through Amtrak, call (800) USA-RAIL, go to http://www.amtrak.com or contact Wings Travel. Taxis are available at the train station for transportation to the hotel.
Rental Cars
Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport or you can make them through Wings Travel or your own travel agent. Driving Directions
