Hotel Location

The Lord Baltimore Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, just steps from the Inner Harbor, Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium. The hotel is also across the street from the Charles Center subway station, offering access to attractions and things to do throughout Baltimore.

Every detail of the Lord Baltimore Hotel is rich in historical and architectural significance, all coming together to create one of the most unique and interesting hotels in downtown Baltimore. Guests arriving through the revolving doors are greeted by a magnificent lobby featuring a beautiful grand piano, classic oil paintings, polished brass, and an award-winning vaulted fresco ceiling with an immense Murano glass chandelier.

Your support in staying at the Lord Baltimore Hotel helps keep the conference costs down, which directly affects your registration fees. SIAM guarantees the hotel that we will fill a certain number of “room nights” (rooms per night) during the conference. SIAM incurs penalties if too many attendees opt to stay in other hotels in the area or neglect to indicate to the hotel that they are with the SIAM conference. Currently, conference costs do not include meeting room rental. If SIAM fails to fill the contracted room block, SIAM is charged the cost for the meeting rooms daily, along with a hefty penalty. Future registration fees could increase to cover these additional risks.

Reservations

SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Lord Baltimore Hotel. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early.

The group rate is guaranteed until 11:59 p.m. Eastern time. on February 5, 2024, or until the room block is full. If rooms are available after the cutoff date, they will be offered at the best available rate.

Single/Double Room Rate*                      $149 per night plus 17.5% tax
Student Rate                                             $111.75 per night plus 17.5% tax
Student ID must be presented upon check-in. SIAM has negotiated a limited number of special student rate rooms. Please book early as these rooms sell out quickly!

All rooms based on availability.
All rates are subject to state and local occupancy taxes.
*Additional fees of $20 per person apply to triple and quad occupancy.

In the event that you find a lower room rate, please make the reservation at the lower rate and notify SIAM immediately ([email protected]). By doing this you will receive the lower rate and be counted towards the SIAM room block. However, please be aware by booking outside the SIAM room block at a lower rate, you may not receive the same benefits as rooms reserved in the SIAM room block (i.e. complimentary internet access).

Do not make your reservation online using the hotel’s general website, as this will not allow you to obtain the SIAM group rate. Be sure to use the online reservation link above if making reservations online. Remember to get your confirmation number!

Reservations are not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone. Be sure to get a confirmation number from the hotel and be prepared to provide that number to the front desk clerk upon check-in at the hotel.

Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel prior to 4:00 PM on the day before your scheduled arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee. You can contact the hotel at 855-539-1928 (U.S. and Canada) or +1 410-539-8400. Remember to get a cancellation number!

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Eastern time.

Early Departure

The hotel may charge an early departure fee if an attendee checks out prior to the original checkout date. Attendees are responsible for informing the hotel of reservation changes as soon as possible and should confirm their scheduled departure date when checking into the hotel.

Deposit

The hotel requires a credit card to confirm and guarantee your reservation and will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.

Ground Transportation

Public Transportation from Airport
Taxis are available at the airport for transportation to the hotel. Please visit the Lord Baltimore Hotel website and click on “Contact and Directions” on the drop-down bar at the top of the page to find local directions. By Train
Amtrak has a rail station in Baltimore. To make train reservations through Amtrak, call (800) USA-RAIL, go to http://www.amtrak.com or contact your travel agency or travel website. Taxis are available at the train station for transportation to the hotel.

Rental Cars
Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport, or you can make them through your own travel agency or travel website.

Driving Directions
When using a phone or car GPS system for directions, SIAM highly recommends you contact the hotel directly or visit their website for driving directions. In many cases, the street address of the building and the address required for the GPS are different.
