Registration Information

In accordance with Carnegie Mellon’s COVID-19 mitigation policies, everyone participating in programs, events or accommodations on the university’s campus is required to be either up to date in their vaccinations against COVID-19 or, if not up to date, must have received a negative COVID-19 test result within three days prior to coming on campus.

You must download and complete an attestation form. You are required to turn in a copy of the completed form to the onsite registration desk in order to receive your badge.

*Student registration is available for undergraduate and graduate students ONLY; this rate is not available to post-doctorates.

All students must be prepared to show a current student ID at the SIAM badge pick-up desk.

The student non-member rate includes a SIAM student membership. Questions regarding SIAM membership should be directed to [email protected].

**Outreach rate is available to SIAM outreach members. Learn more about becoming an Outreach Member (only $15)

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND EARLY CAREER PROFESSIONALS: If you have already applied for Conference Support, please do not register for the conference until you have received notification about the status of your award.

SIAM will continue to offer the early registration rate to any individual holding a passport from Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen who is coming to the meeting from outside the U.S. If you have any concerns about not being able to attend the meeting, you can still pay the Early In-Person Registration Rate until the June 6, 2022 deadline. Please contact [email protected] with your passport details.

If you do not join SIAM before you register, SIAM allows attendees who pay the non-member rate to apply the difference between it and the member rate toward buying an individual membership.

Important Registration Information

SIAM policy requires all speakers register. Speakers are encouraged to register by the published deadlines in order to take advantage of discounted Early Registration rates. Speakers not registered by the Early Registration Deadline must register at the higher Standard Registration rates.

COVID-19 Mitigation Requirements:
In accordance with Carnegie Mellon’s COVID-19 mitigation policies, everyone participating in programs, events or accommodations on the university’s campus age 5 and older is required to be either up to date* against COVID-19 or, if not up to date, must have received a negative COVID-19 test result within three days prior to coming on campus. For recurring events/programs/accommodations, unvaccinated individuals must be retested on a weekly basis, for each week in which the individual is on campus. Children under the age of 5 are encouraged, but not required to be tested. *To be considered “up to date” a person must receive a booster shot within 60 days of becoming eligible for the booster, in addition to the initial dose(s) of vaccine.

In addition, everyone must adhere to all COVID-19 mitigation requirements including, but not limited to the use of a facial covering at all times while on campus. The current COVID-19 mitigation requirements are available at https://www.cmu.edu/coronavirus/visitor-protocol/. The university reserves the right to revise these mitigation requirements, as deemed necessary. Parents, guardians, and other individuals who visit the Carnegie Mellon campus solely for the purpose of picking-up or dropping-off children are not subject to these vaccination or testing requirements, but must comply with facial covering requirements.

You must complete the Carnegie Mellon Attestation form and bring a printed copy to the registration desk to receive your badge and participate in conference sessions.

Please review additional information under “In-Person Registration and Badge Pick-Up".

About Registering
All registrants must register using SIAM’s online registration system. If you are a SIAM member, the login is the same as your member login. You must use your member login to get the member rate for the conference. If you are not a member, but attended a SIAM conference or purchased a SIAM publication in the past, check for an existing account. This will allow you to register without setting up a new account. If you do not have an existing account you can follow the link to create a new account.

Attendees must register themselves using their own login credentials. If you are registering individuals other than yourself, please contact us for assistance.

In-Person Registration and Badge Pick-Up
