One Day Registration Fee (strictly on-site)
To attend one day of the 5-day meeting, you can pay a one-day fee of $120.00 for members and $160 for non-members. This option is only available on-site and does not include a copy of the Final Program. Individuals who preregister for the entire meeting will not be entitled to a refund if they stay only one day.
There will be no prorated fees. No refunds will be issued after Thursday, June 7, 2001. If your preregistration payment arrives at SIAM after the conference has started, that payment will be returned to you and your on-site registration will be processed.

Event TourTijuana Shopping with Dinner Bienvenidos Amigos! Welcome to Mexico! Only seventeen miles south of downtown San Diego, yet worlds apart. Tijuana sparkles with all the flavor and charm that our neighboring country to the south has to offer. Tijuana is a showcase in fascinating contrasts with sleek new shopping plazas settled comfortably among the quaint side streets of "old Mexico". The tour leaves the hotel at 5:45 p.m. and returns to the hotel about 10:45 p.m. A traditional Mexican dinner will be served with an icy Margarita cocktail. The cost per person is $45.00. Reservations are necessary. The Conference Organizing Committee expects every speaker of a scheduled presentation to register and attend the conference. (SIAM asks that all speakers preregister so that all program materials are ready for you when you arrive and check in at the registration desk)
If it becomes necessary for a speaker to cancel a presentation, he/she is expected to find an alternate presenter immediately, preferably one of the speaker�s co-authors. He/she must inform the SIAM Conference Department immediately of any change to his/her scheduled presentation.
A �no-show� or cancelled presentation can cause serious inconvenience to the attendees and conference organizers. The committee thanks all speakers in advance for compliance with this request.
We urge attendees to preregister and save! To qualify for the preregistration fee, return the Preregistration Form with payment to reach the SIAM office by Thursday, June 7, 2001. Any registration received at the SIAM office after Thursday, June 7, 2001 will be subject to the full registration fee. There will be no prorated fees. Refunds will not be issued after Thursday, June 7, 2001.

In the SIAM registration area, there will be an information booth. At the booth, SIAM staff will be on hand to answer any and all attendee questions. It�s a great place to renew your membership or to join SIAM! There will also be a sign up sheet for people who might be interested in finding dinner companions. Personnel at the booth will also be glad to offer suggestions and directions to local restaurants.
For the comfort and health of all attendees, smoking is not permitted at any SIAM function. This includes plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, workshops, luncheons, and receptions (unless the event is outside).
SIAM will have a dedicated bulletin board located in the registration area for posting job opportunities. This board is available for the convenience of those who wish to post and respond to job openings.
Please turn off all cell phones, beepers, electronic devices before going into any SIAM session. Some of these devices can interfere with the audiovisual equipment and may distract the speaker and/or attendees during the session.
