A mobile app for the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE15) is available for download. Plug www.tripbuildermedia.com/apps/siam2015events into your browser. The link will automatically detect the type of device and take you to the right place to download the app. Or, view the mobile site in HTML5 by connecting to www.tripbuilder.net/mw/apps/siam2015events.You will be requested to set up an account to use the mobile app. This will allow you to share your calendar of show events across iOS and Android devices, but not with the HTML5 version. You can then select CSE15 from the list of 2015 SIAM events on the app or mobile site to view the schedule, browse speakers, attendees and exhibitors, view maps and building layouts, sync events with your mobile calendar, create your own show by selecting specific sessions, and more!
We are pleased to announce a Special Section of the SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing (SISC) in association with CSE15. The Special Section will focus on two themes – CSE Software and Big Data in CSE – and will feature high-quality scientific computing papers in either of these two areas (or their intersection). See details at: http://www.siam.org/journals/sisc/sisc_special.php.
Manuscripts will be accepted from February 1 until May 31, 2015.
Technical sessions for the conference will be held at:
The Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center
100 SW Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101
Phone: +1(385) 468-2222
Please note: The days and dates of CSE15 are Saturday, March 14, 2015 through Wednesday, March 18, 2014.

Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) complements theory and experiment as a critical component of scientific discovery. CSE is indispensable for leading edge investigation and engineering design in a vast number of industrial sectors, including for example, aerospace, automotive, biological, chemical, and semiconductor technologies that all rely increasingly on advanced modeling and simulation. CSE also contributes to policy and decisions relating to human health, resources, transportation, and defense. Finally, in many new areas such as medicine, the life sciences, management and marketing (e.g. data- and stream mining), and finance, techniques and algorithms from CSE are of growing importance.
CSE is naturally interdisciplinary. Its goals concern understanding and analyzing complex systems, predicting their behavior, and optimizing processes and designs. CSE thus grows out of physical applications, while depending on computer architecture and software, and having at its core powerful algorithms. At the frontiers of CSE remain many open problems and challenges, including the verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification of computational models; the analysis and assimilation of large and complex data sets, including techniques for visualization and animation; and the design of flexible CSE software. The SIAM CSE conference seeks to enable in-depth technical discussions on a wide variety of major computational efforts on large-scale problems in science and engineering, foster the interdisciplinary culture required to meet these large-scale challenges, and promote the training of the next generation of computational scientists.
SIAM and the Conference Organizing Committee wish to extend their thanks and appreciation to the U.S. National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy for their support of this conference. The U.S. National Science Foundation provided additional support for the Workshop Celebrating Diversity.
