Location
In the center of the business and cultural district, guests at The Westin Convention Center have easy access to a variety of local attractions. Complimentary transportation is available from the hotel Monday through Friday to the center of the business district, as well as the Heinz History Center, Andy Warhol Museum, PNC Park and Mellon Arena. Connected by a skywalk to the new David L. Lawrence Convention Center, The Westin Convention Center is ideally situated for the business traveler. They also house Pittsburgh’s premier seafood restaurant, The Original Fish Market.

Your support in staying at the Westin Convention Center, Pittsburgh helps keep the conference costs down, which directly affects your registration fees. SIAM guarantees the hotel that we will fill a certain number of “room nights” (rooms per night) during the conference. SIAM incurs penalties if too many attendees opt to stay in other hotels in the area or neglect to indicate to the hotel that they are with the SIAM conference. If SIAM fails to fill the contracted room block, SIAM is charged a penalty. Future registration fees could increase to cover these additional risks.
Reservations
SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Westin Convention Center, Pittsburgh. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early.
The group rate is guaranteed until the cutoff date or until the room block is full. If rooms are available after the cutoff date, they will be offered at the best available rate.

All rates are subject to state and local occupancy taxes.
In the event that you find a lower room rate, please make the reservation at the lower rate and notify SIAM immediately ([email protected]). By doing this you will receive the lower rate and be counted towards the SIAM room block. However, please be aware by booking outside the SIAM room block at a lower rate, you may not receive the same benefits as rooms reserved in the SIAM room block (i.e complimentary Internet access).
Reservations are not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone. Be sure to get a confirmation number from the hotel and be prepared to provide that number to the front desk clerk upon check-in at the hotel. If hotel reservations are requested by facsimile and written confirmation is not received within two weeks of sending the facsimile, please contact the hotel immediately to verify that the reservation request was received and processed. Be sure to get a confirmation number.
When making reservations, be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the SIAM Meeting. You may also make your reservation by phone by calling +1-800-937-8461 (USA and Canada) or +1-412-281-3700.
Do not make your reservation online using the hotel’s general web site, as this will not allow you to obtain the SIAM group rate. Be sure to use the group link if making reservations online. Remember to get your confirmation number!
Cancellations

Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM.
Deposit
The Westin Convention Center, Pittsburgh requires a credit card and deposit for the first nights stay to confirm and guarantee your reservation. The hotel will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.

Hotel guests will have complimentary use of the fitness center and indoor heated pool in the Westin Convention Center, Pittsburgh.
