The Sheraton Society Hill is approaching a sellout situation over the conference dates.
In the event you are unable to make your reservation at the Sheraton Society Hill over your preferred dates, please contact A Room with a View (1-800-780-4343) for assistance in making a reservation at a nearby hotel. They will secure the lowest available rate within a short distance to Sheraton Society Hill. This is a complimentary service being offered to attendees of the SIAM International Conference on Data Mining.
In the event that rooms become available at Sheraton Society Hill due to cancellations, A Room With A View will notify conference attendees and help transfer reservations back to the Sheraton in the order in which they were booked.

Your support in staying at the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel helps keep the conference costs down, which directly affects your registration fees. SIAM guarantees the hotel that we will fill a certain number of “room nights” (rooms per night) during the conference. SIAM incurs penalties if too many attendees opt to stay in other hotels in the area or neglect to indicate to the hotel that they are with the SIAM conference. At this time, conference costs do not include meeting room rental. If SIAM fails to fill the contracted room block, SIAM is then charged the cost for the meeting rooms on a daily basis, along with a hefty penalty. Future registration fees could increase to cover these additional risks.
Reservations
SIAM is holding a block of rooms at Sheraton Society Hill Hotel . These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early.
The group rate is guaranteed until the cutoff date unless the block fills prior to that. If there are rooms available after the cutoff date, they will be available at the best rate offered at that time.
Reservation Deadline – March 27, 2014 (or until the room block is filled)
Single/Double $179.00 per night plus 15.2% tax
Student rate $134.00 per night plus 15.2% tax
Proper identification for student rates is required upon check-in. SIAM is able to negotiate a limited number of special student rate rooms. Please book early as these rooms sell out quickly!The student rate rooms are sold out.

All rates are subject to state and local occupancy taxes.
In the event that you find a lower room rate, please make the reservation at the lower rate and notify SIAM immediately ([email protected]). By doing this you will receive the lower rate and be counted towards the SIAM room block.
Reservations are not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone. Be sure to get a confirmation number from the hotel and be prepared to provide that number to the front desk clerk upon check-in at the hotel. If hotel reservations are requested by facsimile and written confirmation is not received within two weeks of sending the facsimile, please contact the hotel immediately to verify that the reservation request was received and processed. Be sure to get a confirmation number.
When making reservations, be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the SIAM International Conference on Data Mining (SDM14). In order to receive the SIAM group rate, please make your reservations via fax at +1-215-238-6652 or mail the Hotel Reservation Form directly to the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel. You may also make your reservation by phone by calling +1-800-325-3535 (USA and Canada) or +1-215-238-6000.
Do not make your reservation online through the hotel web site, as this will not allow you to retain the SIAM group rate. Remember to get your confirmation number!
Welcome Reception
When making your reservation, remember that the Welcome Reception is scheduled for April 24, 2014. This is an excellent networking opportunity!
Deposit
The Sheraton Society Hill Hotel requires a credit card to confirm and guarantee your reservation. The hotel will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.
Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to avoid a cancellation fee. You can contact the hotel at +1-800-325-3535 (USA and Canada) or +1-215-238-6000. Remember to get a cancellation number!

Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM.
