(See MS62 for Part II)
4:15 PM-6:15 PM
Room: Georgia 8
The speakers in this will present recent developments in numerical solution of two-phase flow problems such as air-water flows, solidification and vaporization. This research is important for understanding fundamental problems in fluid mechanics and in industrial applications, for example, droplet break-up, contact line dynamics and solidification in castings. The speakers will discuss algorithmic design and analysis of methods for solving elliptic equations with discontinuous coefficients and/or singular source terms and the design of accurate methods for representing the moving interface.
