Travel Support for AG15

Travel grants are available for AG15 for early career researchers. Unlike other travel support for conferences run by SIAM, a free registration is not included. You must register for AG15.
Travel support is reimbursable on filing of an expense report after the conference.

For awards funded by this grant from the NSF, applicants must be affiliated with a U.S. institution. In addition to the NSF awards, SIAM will funds student travel awards for AG15.The SIAM awards are not restricted to US based students.

Preference will be given to graduate students and early career researchers (within 6 years of PhD) who are presenting their work at AG15. Women and under-represented minorities are encouraged to apply.

To apply for a travel award:
Submit a statement requesting support and providing the rationale for the request and explaining your interests in AG15. If applicable, the statement should contain the title of the work to be presented at AG15 and a list of co-authors along with their affiliations. It should also contain a travel budget including expected expenses and the amount and sources of travel support other than that expected from this award.

Submit a CV of no more than two pages that includes an e-mail address and other contact information, the date (or expected date) of the award of PhD, the institution awarding the degree, and advisor's name. It should also include research interests, and publications. If available, a URL for a working homepage should be included with the contact information.

Ask a senior colleague or your graduate advisor to submit a letter of recommendation indicating why you are deserving of receiving travel support and any special circumstances. This letter is required for a graduate student and it must be submitted by the student's graduate advisor. For an early career applicant, the letter is recommended but not required.
