2026 ICMSEC-CAS/SIAM Publishing Workshop for Early Career Researchers

About the Workshop

On April 21, 2026 the inaugural “SIAM Publishing Workshop for Early Career Researchers” in China was held as a joint collaboration between SIAM and the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Scientific/Engineering Computing at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. The workshop attracted over 85 registrants from more than 35 institutions in Beijing and across China.
 
This in-person workshop for faculty and students featured esteemed speakers who are SIAM journal editors and SIAM Fellows and covered engaging topics such as how to become a journal author, how to be an effective peer reviewer, and AI and research integrity. Attendees were able to ask questions and the workshop also offered a networking tea break so that researchers could connect with colleagues and peers and share information.
 
The workshop was co-organized and hosted by Prof. Tao Zhou, ICMSEC-CAS, and Kivmars Bowling, SIAM Publications Director.
