How to Participate

You are invited to contribute a presentation for this conference in one of the following formats.

Minisymposia

Individuals are limited to one presentation, either a minisymposium, a contributed talk or a poster presentation. In addition, individuals may be an organizer of only one minisymposium.
Minisymposia organizers can submit a maximum of two parts per minisymposium, scheduling up to eight speakers.

A minisymposium generally consists of four 25-minute presentations, with an additional five minutes for discussion after each presentation.  Organizers must ensure proposed speakers are aware that they may present only once during the meeting. In addition, SIAM discourages minisymposia in which most of the speakers come from the same organization or if all co-authors on the papers being presented in a minisymposium are from the same organization.

Prospective minisymposium organizers are asked to submit a proposal consisting of a title, a description (not to exceed 100 words), and a list of speakers and titles of their presentations using the Conference Management System available at:  http://meetings.siam.org/start.cfm?CONFCODE=ds15.

It is recommended that a minisymposium organizer make the first presentation. Each minisymposium speaker should submit a 75-word abstract. The organizing committee will referee minisymposium proposals. The number of minisymposia may be limited to retain an acceptable level of parallelism in the conference sessions.

Be certain to visit http://www.siam.org/meetings/guidelines/mini_guide.php to review Guidelines for Preparing a Minisymposium Proposal.

Deadline for submission of minisymposium proposals: October 20, 2014
Deadline for submission of minisymposium speaker abstracts: November 17, 2014

Featured Minisymposia

NEW FOR DS15! new

Individuals are limited to one presentation, either a minisymposium, a contributed talk or a poster presentation. In addition, individuals may be an organizer of only one minisymposium.

Featured Minisymposia must consist of one minisymposium session. Multiple part minisymposia will not be considered as a Featured Minisymposium..

You may elect to submit your minisymposium as a potential Featured Minisymposium. It will have a similar time format, but will be held in a time slot with fewer parallel sessions running. A Featured Minisymposium is intended to be a selective group of talks that describe and promote recent significant advances in a theme deemed to be of high priority for current and near future research in Dynamical Systems and their Applications, as identified by the Organizing Committee and the Conference Co-Chairs. The talks should be intended to be accessible to the general mathematical community and are meant to inspire graduate students and young researchers, in the spirit of plenary talks. The speakers in a Featured Minisymposium must come from different organizations and should not be recent collaborators.

The number of Featured Minisymposia is limited and relevant submissions will be refereed and selected by the organizing committee. A submission not chosen as a Featured Minisymposium will be considered as regular Minisymposium.

A Featured Minisymposium will consist of four 25-minute presentations, with an additional five minutes for discussion after each presentation. Multiple part minisymposia will not be considered as a Featured Minisymposium. Organizers must ensure proposed speakers are aware that they may present only once during the meeting.

Prospective Featured Minisymposium organizers are asked to submit a proposal consisting of a title (*see below), a description (not to exceed 100 words), and a list of speakers and titles of their presentations using the Conference Management System available at:  http://meetings.siam.org/start.cfm?CONFCODE=ds15.

*In order to be considered as a Featured Minisymposium, sessions must be submitted with the minisymposium title “FMS Proposal:  SESSION TITLE.”  This step is mandatory to ensure the session is considered as a Featured Minisymposium.

Deadline for submission of Featured Minisymposium proposals: October 20, 2014
Deadline for submission of Featured Minisymposium speaker abstracts: November 17, 2014
