The SIAM Texas-Louisiana Section serves SIAM members in Texas and Louisiana.
Formed in 2016, the SIAM Texas-Louisiana Section provides ongoing opportunity for mathematicians working in both industry and academia to come together and form a strong social and promotional network; to promote a sense of identity as mathematicians; to allow members to share ideas, continue or reestablish links with other mathematicians; and to provide a platform for a form of continuing education/collaborative environment in our geographic area.
The SIAM Texas-Louisiana Section hosts an annual meeting as well as sponsors local symposiums, workshops, lectures, virtual seminars, and student events.
SIAM Sections are regional or national subgroups of SIAM members that organize lectures, meetings, and other activities to serve members in their region. Get connected with members in your area.
